 r /><br /> ITHACA, N.Y. – Are you looking for guidance in making decisions 
 on your horse farm? Would you like help finding the current best management
  practices for equine operations? The Horse Farm Improvement Program (HFIP)
  is a Cornell-based resource for extension employees and horse farm manager
 s. In this session, Dr. Lindsay Goodale will provide an overview of the pro
 gram and review a few farm case studies.<br /><br />Dr. Lindsay Goodale is 
 a senior lecturer in the Department of Animal Science at Cornell’s College 
 of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). In this role she teaches undergrad
 uate and graduate courses in equine biology and management, domestic mammal
 ian behavior, and animal welfare. Dr. Goodale also serves as the equine ext
 ension specialist for New York State and has developed a Horse Farm Improve
 ment Program for equine operations. She attended the Cornell University Col
 lege of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2012, returning to work at Cor
 nell in her current role in 2017. She is pursuing board certification throu
 gh the American College of Animal Welfare and owns an off-track Thoroughbre
 d named Fig who enjoys clicker training.<br /> <br />This seminar is part o
