DESCRIPTION:Opportunities in Equine Practice Seminar (OEPS) is the leading student foru
 m in equine veterinary medicine, with over 4,100 students attending since i
 ts inception in 2003. The seminar’s career management format offers practic
 e and financial management information for the student and opportunities fo
 r practitioners to establish long-term mentoring relationships with the app
 roximately 200 -225 veterinary students attending.\n

Through OEPS sponso
 rships, travel and hotel funding are provided for third-year veterinary stu
 dents to attend the meeting, where they receive information about various a
 venues and disciplines of equine practice, financial remuneration, employme
 nt, practice ownership, and marketing. Students gain valuable information t
 hrough face-to-face encounters in the Practice Exhibit Hall and presentatio
 ns from practitioners, financial advisors, and practice management consulta
 nts.

Stay in the ‘Horse Capital of the World’. Set in a peaceful lakes
 ide area within five minutes of a variety of shops and restaurants, we’re t
 hree miles from the University of Kentucky and a 15-minute drive to Keenela
 nd Race Track.
