 es Week<br /><br />The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF
 ) is set to hold their third annual Soiree for Safety,  Wednesday, June 3, 
 5-7pm, at Adelphi Hotel, 365 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, New York. All proc
 eeds from this educational and research fundraising event support TERF’s mi
 ssion of promoting Thoroughbred health, welfare, and racing safety. <br /><
 br />Since TERF’s founding in 2010, the 501(c)(3) organization has awarded 
 over 100 grants totaling more than $1 million for educational programs, stu
 dent scholarships, and equine research projects. <br /><br />This year’s So
 iree for Safety will include a presentation with TERF research grant recipi
 ent Kallie J. Hobbs, DVM, MBA, PhD, DACVIM-LAIM, Assistant Professor of Lar
 ge Animal Internal Medicine, Texas A&M University. Hobbs said: “The TERF gr
 ant was an instrumental part in the research we have done. It has also help
 ed expand hemoperfusion as an option for horses as it has been adopted now 
 by Universities such as Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, Cornell University
 , Tufts University, and Purdue University.”<br /><br />Additional remarks w
 ill be provided by TERF grantees Belmont Child Care Association, University
  of Pennsylvania veterinary students, and Wilson College veterinary technic
 ian students. Attendees will also learn more about the upcoming TERF sponso
 red Equine Eyes Exhibit at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, 
 Saratoga Springs, New York, taking place July 21-23, 2026.<br /><br />The S
