The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is s
 et to hold their third annual Soiree for Safety,  Wednesday, June 3, 5-7pm,
  at Adelphi Hotel, 365 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, New York. All proceeds f
 rom this educational and research fundraising event support TERF’s mission 
 of promoting Thoroughbred health, welfare, and racing safety. \n
\n
Since T
 ERF’s founding in 2010, the 501(c)(3) organization has awarded over 100 gra
 nts totaling more than $1 million for educational programs, student scholar
 ships, and equine research projects. \n
\n
This year’s Soiree for Safety wi
 ll include a presentation with TERF research grant recipient Kallie J. Hobb
 s, DVM, MBA, PhD, DACVIM-LAIM, Assistant Professor of Large Animal Internal
  Medicine, Texas A&amp;M University. Hobbs said: “The TERF grant was an ins
 trumental part in the research we have done. It has also helped expand hemo
 perfusion as an option for horses as it has been adopted now by Universitie
 s such as Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, Cornell University, Tufts Univer
 sity, and Purdue University.”\n

Additional remarks will be provided by T
 ERF grantees Belmont Child Care Association, University of Pennsylvania vet
 erinary students, and Wilson College veterinary technician students. Attend
 ees will also learn more about the upcoming TERF sponsored Equine Eyes Exhi
 bit at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, Saratoga Springs, Ne
 w York, taking place July 21-23, 2026.\n
