 he Museum will debut a one-of-a-kind new exhibition, Equine Eyes, during an
  open house. Equine Eyes is an interactive, research-driven exhibit designe
 d to simulate how horses perceive the world. The exhibit is rooted in exten
 sive research by Dr. Alan Hook of Ulster University and aims to foster empa
 thy, safety awareness, and interspecies connection. The exhibition is funde
 d in part through the support of a grant from the Thoroughbred Education Re
 search Foundation (TERF).</p><p>Utilizing a specially developed headset wit
 h mounted cameras, the Equine Eyes experience provides visitors with an imm
 ersive visual and sensory perspective of equine vision. This technology hig
 hlights key differences in depth perception, color spectrum, and motion sen
 sitivity compared to human vision, offering a deeper understanding of how h
 orses navigate their environment. Dr. Hook will be on hand to demonstrate t
 he technology and educate guests on the research and process involved with 
 developing Equine Eyes. Dr. Hook will deliver his presentation at 10 a.m. A
 dmission to the presentation is free. </p>
